- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons suya spice (yaji)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground crayfish
- 2 seasoning cubes, crushed
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 large onion, sliced

The Method

Clean catfish thoroughly and make diagonal cuts on both sides.

Mix suya spice, salt, crayfish, seasoning cubes, and thyme together.

Rub the spice mix all over the fish, inside and out.

Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes (or overnight in the fridge).

Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).

Brush fish with oil and grill for 10-12 minutes on each side.
